As soon as proceedings of the House began, Congress and NC legislators stood up to protest against the murder of Asifa Bano of Kathua. The opposition legislators alleged that police did not make any efforts to trace the girl after she was abducted. The body of Bano was recovered yesterday from bushes in Hiranagar. The opposition demanded the suspension of local SHO and action against government's failure to take action SP, DSP of Kuthua.
